Antarctica New Zealand chief executive update

Antarctica New Zealand chief executive, Sarah Williamson has announced she will be leaving the organisation on 15 November 2024.

Chair, Leon Grice said the Antarctica New Zealand board recognises and thanks Sarah for her commitment and passion for New Zealand’s important work in Antarctica in the more than five years she has been leading the agency.

“Antarctica New Zealand is reorganising to implement the recommendations of the Independent Review Panel for the Scott Base Redevelopment project. We will commence the process of appointing a new chief executive,” he said.
